I am desperately looking for money. It will not be a gift, but a loan. I need at least $6,000.00, but will be thankful for any amount. My medical bills are well over $20,000.00 due to an incurable disease I have. I cannot afford medication each month, even though I am on Medicare Part D and am in their program called "Extra Help". I can do without my medications, but my husband needs his. He has had three strokes and has now been without his medicine for four months. He is a walking timebomb. I've gone to the county and we make too much money. Our total income from Social Security is just over $1500.00 a month.
My father recently passed away and every penny we had went to his funeral. There is no family we can turn to. Currently I am overdrawn by $856.00 and have no possible way to replace the funds until the end of February. Automatic deductions for our Medigap insurance policies, our homeowners and our auto insurance for our 23 year old van comes out automatically each month. I had to pay water, gas, electric and phone or all four would have been disconnected. They totaled $1418.66. The balance went for laundry soap, a bar of soap, two packages of toilet paper, a box of white rice, $35.00 for gas in our van and some chicken broth.
I've not been to a dentist in over 25 years due to no money. A year ago I was given a cost of just over $19,000.00 and that did not include dentures or bone grafts. I have two teeth left on my upper gum and 4 on my lower gum. My husband's mouth is in much worse shape than mine.
My doctors have forbidden me to work. I worked from the age of 14 years until I got sick in 1996. My husband worked since he was a young teenager as well non stop unjtil his first stroke left him unable to work. If I get a job making enough to get by I will lose all my social security benefits. I am considering doing that anyway regardless. I spend most of my day and night in the bathroom throwing up from pain. I cannot afford to take anything to help with it. There is no cure. I pass out often from the pain so I am not allowed to drive. I am not sure who will hire me, but I am willing to do almost anything (legal). I am a grandmother of two beautiful little boys and do not get to spend time with them because of the pain. I won't let them see me like this. I cannot be touched or be in noise or bright lights.
We will be selling our home. From that I will be able to repay the loan. All we will need to do is trade in our mini van for a larger van.
